it looked like it was a nice car, it was red, and had blue tint, with WRX blue details everywhere, ie shocks, springs, moustache bar, strut tops, etc etc

yes please. the plan is putting it in the quokka and selling that and the rear struts to get me enough money to buy my 4" lift kit without affecting our savings:) Then the mrs cant argue:)... ill just have to make some new engine cross member blocks.

Update...this is still sitting there upside down.
Only useful parts left appear to be;

- Carby motor
- Power steering rack
- Engine crossmember (***This appears to be a genuine TURBO L series crossmember with the dip to clear the turbo headers - good for a conversion. These go for about $200+ at the wreckers IF you can find one).
- 2 x 2" Lift blocks on the engine crossmember.
- Gearbox linkage bits and pieces

You would need two rachets with 14mm sockets and extensions to remove the engine crossmember (only 2 out of 4 body bolts remaining). Plus I think 12mm for the engine mount bolts (mabey these are also 14mm I forget).

Don't make me dig up posts of you telling everyone the engine mount nuts are 14mm Andrew, not 12mm.....
Definitely sounds worth it if you are burdened with an L series, could make life a little easier. Not much use for those living in MY bliss.

u went and had a gander did u andrew?
most of those bits i have taken or loosened the bolts off but then couldnt be bothered - specially the engine x member ones- the underside of them is hard to put a spanner on.
but yeh if its still there go for your life.

Yeah they are prolly the standard nuts, the car seemed to have alot of odd ones throughout though.
