what days do u want us to help- (might wanna start a new thread.)
or would it be easier/quicker to fix the carby?
anyways its way easier to stay in the one place- either camp it or shack it- and then maybe do a small trip up to cervanties from there if the surf's bad ;)

ok i got the news - we cant use my shack as there are gonna be people there.
but im sure we can find a nice spot to camp- its just gonna be a bit harder to cook and keep stuff and if u wanna leave stuff somewhere and go for a swim etc.
still keen for wedge?? else maybe somewhere closer to civilisation for food/drinks.

Anything been decided for this trip??... Would have to be no wind at all if we were to want to camp somewhere in wedge. Not fun camping with all the sand blowing about.

Maybe we need to change venue.

that is true dave it aint pleasant - even inside a tent/car. i reckon save wedge for a time where we can have the shack which is way more fun- ie with decent beds, quadbike, pingpong, somewhere to store our ****.
so im up for other options but dont know if people wanna still camp it out.

Im not meaning to take over this... im still not even sure if i will be going... but i agree with Mat... i guess we need a list of who is interested... and amoungst us we can choose a location... looking back on the post it didn't seam like a large number of cars anyways. Also are we talking Sat night or Sunday night if we camp... this will affect peoples availability.

Looks AWESOME to me... might be too far for some. And yes we can camp there.

We are thinking a 2 nighter... night one at Black Point... night 2 at Lake Jasper... Looks like good fishing along the beach there for the fishermen.

And one site mentions good surf for surfer dudes.

It is a great location, I have done it twice in a lift L, not sure I would attempt it in an unlifted vehicle.

Last time was a longweekend about 3-4 years ago and the hardest section was gettin back up the hill at Jasper beach, big holes and lumps on a short steep section, there is a good runup though so speed is your friend.... the year before was no way as chewed up.

Also be aware that Lake Jasper attracts a lot of waterskiers behind small aluminium boats, the weekend we were there was impossible to find a campsite, there were even people camped the full length of the beach (yes the lake has a narrow beach along one end)
