CV Qu

Post by Lapsed » Mon Mar 05, 2007 1:45 pm

I went camping in the back of collie for the weekend. Had one small drama after the tripto collie , my drivers side CV joint has started to make a lot of noise while driving (still didn't stop the 4x4ing).

I'm after a place to get a new one and at what cost will i be expecting?

cheers chris

Do u want to pay someone to do the whole thing??? or buy the parts and do it yourself.

Bare in mind that no matter if u do it or a company... you will get no waranty due to your lift kit and engine upgrade.

Is it the inner or outer CV making the noise? Just while turning or in a straight line too?
If you bring the shaft by itself into a place and get a new CV fitted you can have a warranty no problem. If it breaks just bring the shaft back. Just make sure not to bring your actual car in!

It does it in a straight line mainly and occasionally when turning. as for company or myself what ever is easiest and gets the better results. yeh was thinking of doing that Andrew
