8 years of love, 3 weeks of WA

...and my poor suby lost its plates to the man with neon orange stripes on his car. To be fair, he was kinda nice about it - tipped me off to the main place up here for getting second hand bits, which I've got to know well.

anyway, after a year and a bit in time/money-induced garage storage, finally some time, a lot of money, and some help from ausubaru people in the wiring forum (and possibly yet some new wheels from clint :) ) she's legal again!

And so i figured that was as good a reason as any to re-introduce myself to everybody... HI :) .. it's been a long time since I last spoke up around here, though it's also been quite a while since I was last as enthusiastic about my car as I am right now. It's the first car I ever bought, the only car I've ever bought, and the only car I wanted when I was that age, and when I laid eyes on her she was perfect. The colour i wanted, stock, like i wanted. Damn good nick, right price. I'm a QLDer originally, then ACT for a while, currently Gero, WA. An interesting thing I noticed shortly after moving here is that every old suby I saw on the road is in *really* good condition.

Just wanted to add that it's really great to see the ausubaru community continuing to thrive.. I've been in and out for a few years now and recognise many familiar nicks among the senior members - and I'm pretty sure I sold a for-wrecking 83 touring wagon to a BYB a few years back. I remember what I think was either a server crash or a hacker who wiped the forums a little while back, and I think it took a while for the site to recover to former levels of information and family-ness... but I think that has definitely happened.

Cheers everyone, and to those perth people heading to wedge tomorrow, looks like the weather is going to be great, hope you have an awesome trip.

Dave

(oh yeah, I'm yet another Dave.. sorry to add to the confusion)

Thanks tristan, I'm actually cheating a little with the angle and the light, so you can't see a whole heap of things that I prefer to think of as 'features' :) or perhaps 'birth marks' since it's just been pretty much reborn. A few minor things still to do as well but hey i can finally drive it!
