ok fine ill do the writeup. got some time to kill anyway.

well tues morning D3V1L dave, 90subiwgn alex, sooba dooba sean and i got up 2 wedge by about 11am. then we proceeded to relax and have a drink. then it was time for some dune-ing for a couple hours. we had a thrash on my old quadbike which i promptly tipped over when i hit the hard sand sideways. no damage to the quad tho- even after sean did the same later on :p. then we spent the rest of the arvo cruising around wedge and the dunes or having a couple back at the shack.
D3V1L beat me in a little dragrace before we hit a hard ledge and bottomed out struts lol at night time we thought we were in trouble as a huge ass navy chopper with a spotlight kept circling the shack- we investigated later when it landed, and found some dude needed an airlift back into town for an unknown medical reason.

then the next day after an awesome cookup (and cleanup ;)) we did some more hill climbs in the dunes and had a swim whilst we waited for the other dudes to come. many a subaru rocked up that included, andrewt, subarino, lapsed, 90brumby, vidler plus a hilux and kia. then it was clutch burning time as the hilux driver (female :p) took off and smoke poured out like a burnout. then a couple of us like chris got stuck and more rank smelling clutch smoke came out of his wagon. everone did some more dune exploring and got stuck a few times etc which the hilux pulled us out of.
after cleaning the shack again we left for lancelin a while after 90brumby and his mates, and did some more 4x4ing in its sand dunes. we found a couple good ones including the launch pad for D3V1L and subarino and followed the tracks of the giant bigfoot tourist bus- think american schoolbus monstertruck.
when we eventually left for home alex's clutch decided to dissapear completely and he was towed home by d3v1l. :( get well soon freak ej22.
and that was the trip. a good time was had by all i think.

Damage report:
Subarino: 2x flat tyres from sand in the bead- not caused by nuts this time
D3V1L: bent struts and control arms, and cracked turbo up pipe
AndrewT: damaged coolant hose and minor front end damage-fixed
90subiwgn: Clutch completely worn out.
90Brumby: half exhaust fell off.

Great writeup Matt.

I know Chris' car is still working... I randomly spotted it today turning onto Armadale road. (I was broken down in my work commodore haha).
Just managed to snap a photo from the passenger seat of the RAC truck :)

I remember seeing your car on the rac truck. My thoughts was that he may need to come back and pick my car up. I was taking it for a much needed bath. I think the clutch defiantly needs some major attention. also think i need a new clutch cable if any one has a spare one available..

One of the pics looks like a car we sore stuck when we first rolled into Lancelin.... was there HEAPS of people around the car Tristan?

Perhaps we only just missed you. Anyone else remember seeing that car stuck on the side of the dune on it's side... looked like it wasn't far off tipping over.
