hey guys, i am thinkin of modding my hitachi carby so the secondary opens via the main... wonderinh how others have gone wiht this?

increased fuel usage??
rejetting requierd??
how much power is gained...

i relise there will no doubt be more fuel used, just tryin to decide whether to do thid or to just get a weber 32/36???

It is only really a placebo mod, you will feel it in the seat of your pants, you wont be gaining any hp. It only makes the secondary open sooner, and yes you definately will use more fuel.

You would prolly be best gettin that webber.

maybe a first step would be to use a zip tie to hold open the air plate above the throttle plate to remove the 'vacuum' need before secondary opens. The secondary always opens with full throttle but the air plate above stops air flow.
I use a little tiny allen type bolt that sits in the smile mouth shape groove plate on throttle and a nyloc nut and it is adjustable as to how much you wanna get.

thanks guys, sounds like ill be better off lookin at a weber carby, thanks for the info....
