EJ jigsaw
Ok i think most people would know by now that im building up an ej22 for my brumby, now i was going to use a ej20 crank as its the same as the ej22 crank, however we have reciently replaced an ej25 motor out of an XT forester and have the short motor sitting out the back doing nothing, so i was think that if it will fit i could use the crank and rods to stoke my ej22,
so does anyone know if the ej25 crank will fit in the ej22 using the ej25 rods and the ej22 pistons and heads? and if it will fit, what will the capicity be?
cheers,
ian

Yes you can use 2.5 litre crank (it'll fit no problems) using EJ22 heads/pistons and then that EJ22 engine will become 2.35litre engine (from memory) Would be a little more granty than 2.2 litre. (I would do that if I had 2.5 litre crank!!!)
I recall there is a couple of threads somewhere either here or RSLC.

Ok, subaru just threw a spanner in my plan, in all their wisdom they have decided that the motor that they washed their hands of as far as warranty goes, is now warranty, so i can no longer get the crank shaft or rods out of it,
although i may be able to pull a swifty ad swap my crank and rods with the ej25 stuff so they can still have it for their warranty audit...
