Not sure
The ignition barrell looks forced, but no real damage.
The alarm still worked (well, armed and chirpped to tell me the doors were open) once i had the wreck back - has been quite realiable, but they cut the underdash loom to bits (incl speaker wires, power to the UHF etc)...but no obvious hot wiring.
Clever little buggers (well not the word that first came to mind)
L-Series trashed in Adelaide police chase
MOTHER FU(KERS!!
steve just rang me and told me! i have vague memories of this incident, but not for a second did it cross my mind that my old L was involved!
as some of the old members will testify that was my pride and joy (my first car!), with much money spent over the course of its life (3 years with me). i webber'd it, lifted it, then turbo'd it, rebuilt it, custom rad, new suspension, disc brake rear, touring wagon locks, map lights, 14's etc etc. it got me to uni and back, all over the countryside, to the snow - fugging everywhere!
160km/h in an L is pretty keen, because we all know handling is not a strong point.... i put adjustable strut tops in it in desperation....
its how i came to learn about and love subaru's - now i've got an RS wagon which I adore and have modified even further. sounds like you've lost steve to the RS fraternity too now!
btw, sorry for digging up an old thread.
fugging low life sh!t eating fuktards.
