Okay here's abit of an update.
Rear end;
Now complete with the only exceptions being connecting the brake fluid lines and handbrake cables.

Those pics are the car sitting normally on the rear wheels, front end on jack stands. Still just has the 3" lift in the rear. Looks like the new 16" wheels are giving me some good ground clearance....should be great once some good chunky 4x4 tyres are on there.
(bah, my shiny little centre caps dont fit with the stupid L series castellated nut poking through!).
Front end;
Just worked on the driver's side today...
Driveshaft, custom control arm, balljoint, hub are all fitted.
Messed around with trying to get a GX liberty front strut and spring in, no go.
The Crossbred kit is advertised to work with an Impreza strut/spring only but apparently some peolpe have had Lib ones working provided you have a lift kit. I can't see how because even with the lift kit there it still fouls badly on the inside of the strut tower. (I even tried with a 6" strut top extender - still no way it will fit!).
There must be a way... but for now I'm just going to source a couple of skinny Impreza struts to bung in to get the car moving again.
6" lift - the half foot;
Still not really started fitting this, I want to get the car driving with the Crossbred kit first so I'm just leaving to 3" kit in temporarily.
Also I've just discovered most of the captive nuts that hold the radius rod plates in are fairly badly damaged from some airborne offroading at Wedge (accident!) so I have to fix that first.

Possibly, just getting a closer look at everything now and I think the 30" tyres may be pushing it too much. Will probably scrub too much at the rear of the front wheel arches. Also most people with Outback struts rekon 29" is about the limit. Unless I get coilovers or some wheel with a massive offset theres not really another way.
Anyways I will be experimenting at a tyre place as soon as I get the car driving and see whats the absolute max size I can fit.
**edit - Plan? What plan!

Slow going at the moment....the radius rod support captive nuts on my car are stuffed (one pulled out, one about to pull out, a couple with manky threads).
I've bought plenty of flat bar and box section ready to repair this and build in some majoy bracing for the 6" blocks at the same time.
Just running very short on time.
(I blame the damn side projects!)
