Wheel sizing question

Post by Boobaru » Thu Sep 13, 2007 1:59 pm

Ok,for you guys with 6 bolt conversions.I have an 88 L with 4 inches of lift and i bought some 27x9.50x15 ss ssr's.I have not gotten my wheels yet and i am thinking about buying some new.If i get 15x6" wheels what would be the best offset to go with.I have acces to toyota 4 runner and some nissan pathfinder rims but im not sure what will fit best,it seems the offset of the nissans will fit better but i always hear of people using yota wheels. What you all think? And yes i realize this is like beating a dead horse hear but i cant seem to find anything concrete to go on.Also maybe a different width would be better?

on the my and brumby i have had brand spanking new 15" sunnies with a nissan navara offset
oh and with the 30x9.5" mud's i have about 15mm or so clearance between the wheel and lower spring perch on the strut

if you ask matt (brumberty) he spent a bit of time working out offset and runs something different front to back, but i cant remember what they were

6" wide rims with 23mm offset fit inside the guards nicely. But you may have clearence problems with suspension stuff.. I'm guessing 7" would give better onroad wear..
Are you in Austraila? How much did those SSR's cost? eheh
