It's an Illness

The original purchase receipt was in the owners manual pocket!
Image

The bullbar has been thouroughly autosol'd to make it nice n shiny
Image

The only real negatives, however the guy had already bought a new tailgate alloy rub strip (I have it, still in the spare parts bag) and I'll be getting a local rust repairer to give the tailgate the once over to make it perfect like the rest of the car.

Bloody Subarus... :???:
Image

Guess it's a good time to pull the shafts and regrease, change the front bearings to 2RS's

Pretty happy with the buy actually, not bad for a fleeting spotting as I drove through a carpark yesterday!

Oh yeah, one more thing...

I am gonna need some toons, AM talkback radio is driving me batty and it's only been 45 minutes so far!

Can someone tell me whats up with the little "1 2 and 3" numbers on the speedo. is that a max speed for each gear respectively due to a lack of a tacko? Wish i had that on my l

They always had very optimistic speedos on the old subs...180, yeah right

The 1,2 and 3 represent how fast you could go if your engine was in top nick, represents about 5500 rpm, so I am led to beleive.

Reminds me of my first brumby, it came with 78,000km and that was original, it was immaculate and i go 175 out of it a few times with a full tank of fuel and two people in it so i dont think 180 is optimistic at all

Whilst I do love the quad lights also, problem is a lot of them also come with the rust magnet targa/sunroof. Plus, the single lighhts are kinda cool in an old skool sort of way...

Too late!!!

Hacked it today, doing the 'joining vinyl'd mdf to hacked dash moulding' tomorrow.

Ended up with a pair of Clarion 5.25 splits, and a Pioneer DEH4950 headunit. will eventually put an 8" sub behind the seat, but not just yet.

One door moulding is complete and woofer fitted, just need to do the other, fit the tweeters, finish the HU install and that part is done.

BTW, I priced some CV boots today, $25 each!

Anyone do any better for me?

The tailgate has been quote as $350, and full rust proof with Extrol (sp?) will be about $550.

The rust guy was most impressed :p
