Stubless gearboxes

Post by PeeJay » Mon Oct 01, 2007 3:15 pm

Got my Forester box the other day and it turns out to be the type without the stub axles that the driveshafts slide onto. Does anyone know if it's possible to buy some stub axles that will let me use my existing driveshafts? If I do need new shafts, are the hubs the same on 2003-04 models as the earlier 92-98 models?

This is all getting too complicated now

i HAVE HEARD THAT THE ONES FROM A liberty auto box fit[stubs not driveshafts].The auto ones you pull out and they have a circlip on them then you just bang em in the manual box and now you have stubs .Check with someone that builds boxes, but thats reason i got for some being misssing on a auto box i got.
