L series auto 4WD, binding on turns ??

Post by steptoe » Thu Oct 11, 2007 10:06 am

have found when 4WD is elected on my 3 speed auto that to turn on grassy or dirt surface , at slow speed, a binding slipping creeping sort of noise can be heard from below. Switch off to 2WD and noise goes. Not normal is it ?

Yeah but when its in 4wd auto and you got the wipers on 4wd is engaged constantly ,factory installed,i guess a wet road is more forgiving.I had a L auto that used to bind in reverse when 4wd was engaged never found out why though.
