hehe.. its getting into the subie world now.. I was trying to keep it to myself til I had a working product. I don't want to start a production, just want a locker and for it to pay for itself by making a few more.
I have a thread going on my forum about it, I am looking for a place to do it for me. That guy Adam is working with sounds like the guy I need.

I'll probably only do a rear locker as the front is MUCH harder to install and because we are FWD/AWD it won't be as comfortable to drive as it would be with a rear locker. I would like to do a front for mine just as a experiment, but not sure on that yet.

I'll let everyone know here and on my forum how it goes once I know more. But please don't get your hopes up.

Expecting to see a use able product for testing next week.. I'll test it for a few weeks and then if it's any good I'll see if anyone else wants one..

Price is look to be decent, that is if the product is decent. I should be able to get a couple of small runs of them done. More info when I getthe locker in my hands and then more after testing.

Is this a locker for the stub axle type diffs, or the C-clip type?

Stub axle rear R160 diff you find in L series, Brumbys, MY's, Leone's, upto 94 Liberty's, and even the older 1600 4WD subies.

No plans on front lockers. Although I know the guy has made vaccum operated lockers before so you may be seeing some on-off lockers for the front in the next couple of years ;)

But I'm just looking at rear auto lockers for now. And then go from there..

Recently I've been working on my other offroader project more then my Subie.. But hopefully this gets me back into the subie. I've been getting drawn away from the subies these past couple of months. Something to do with working on a mates shorty GQ with 2" lift and my brothers 4Runner with 35" MT's and twin auto lockers..... Makes subies look pathetic offroad sorta.

Ha.....
You'll never guess..

Bad news. Went to have a look at the locker and possible pick it up today. Turns out the locking mechanism he built for it was too weak. He's going to try it another way so that's another few weeks of waiting... What a surprise.
I'm gonna have another look around to see if I can find someone willing to make a copy of a power-trax type locker only to fit a Subaru... We'll see.. just have to give it time I guess....
