East enders allowed?

Post by El_Freddo » Tue Oct 23, 2007 11:50 am

9th eh?

How many days road trippin would it take to arrive in perth from melbourne, and would anyone have a rough cost in fuel to do the trip one way?

I'm keen to meet you guys (and show you my dented fuel tank :p ) and would be up for a road trip if I could afford it, taking into account that it is christmas time, so this it just talk at the moment...

Also, anyone know the best spots to camp along the way or is this not recommended?

Cheers

You would want to allow 4 days , you could however do it in 3 if you wanted to bust yourself.
Fuel usage is a bit hard to work out as each car will be different , a quick calculation basing on an average fuel cost of $1.55 per ltr would be about $650 for the 3429 klm to here.
As far as camping , there is a lot of spots off the side of the road that you could just park up for the night, we did it when we went to QLD in 2003 and again in 2006.
