Big Thankyou to AndrewT

Post by tim_81coupe » Wed Oct 31, 2007 8:23 am

Thankyou AndrewT for coming past and helping me with the suspension swap in my new RX. It took us until midnight (we started around 8.45) and we encountered a bent mounting and a stripped thread but with some persistence and endurance we got there in the end. Now the RX is in the clouds and I can decide whether or not to let it down a bit at a time.

Big thanks man. I think I owe you a fair bit now.

Nah not for now mate, cheers.

Pics will come some time soon... it is this car.

And to amend the features list, the rear diff is indeed R180 but seems to be very open, even the sticker on the back makes no reference to LSD. Engine looks to be EJ20G / K and there's a very custom intake pipe on it causing a heap of induction noise. Clunk in the rear is gone thanks to replacement of rear outer CV's with DOJ's. Brakes are fairly faded and wiring is hideous but I'm making a lot of progress on it. The car is also sitting up high now - perhaps too high.

I've heard a good way to fix that is to cut some coils out of the springs, not sure if you have considered that...
