I think you should take the maggot mate.
Sounds like a workable solution to your problem and no doubt you've learnt a lot. They say experience is priceless.

Yeah I've defently learnt never buy a cheap old car off a hi-fi salesman. And atleast I know how costly body damage can be now.
After doin some research last night, I realise the guy's basically gettin the leone for free coz $1800 - $2000 seems to be the goin price for one of these in top nick but I'm not too fussed. If the thing ever blows up in my face then I'll come back here and say "You were right, gimme a subie"
I'm starting Electrical at ADI.

sparky - won't be long B4 you are doing cash jobs and spending $800 on a single mod rather than a whole car!

Brumbys and Datson 1500 utes used to be very popular amongst appys - though I'm sure they have on from there.

Yeah I can't wait for those days to come, gunna be broke for a fue months though while I'm payin the "maggot" off on apprentice wages. But its all worth it in the end.
