where's me camera..or ..picture this....

Post by steptoe » Tue Dec 27, 2005 3:28 pm

cruising along yesterday I was behind a scene that was worth a photo but me camera slid too far under the seat to reach it...so you will just have to picture it....

fairly new STi , number plate FAST , being closely monitored by a marked patrol car in a 60 zone, trying to sit in the wrx's blind spot.

He wasn't goin' FAST - that's fer sure !!!

He also managed to shake the patrol at a tricky crossroad !

Funny how they do that.
One Subaclub member who owned a nice blue '96 WRX was on a club trip and travelling under the posted limit went past a bike with gun. No offence.
Next minute bike flies past WRX.
Over next hill, guess who's waiting? But our friend is still under limit. With a known bike + gun somewhere in front would you?
Sure enough, shortly after, past he goes at breakneck speed again.
A few corners later, there he is again. Still no worries.

At least the copper learned a valuable lesson. Go after YOUNG blokes in WRXs. Not grey-haired old farts. :D :P :D

I wonder, are cops really allowed to grossly exceed the posted speed limit when NOT in pursuit or without their flashing/siren on ? I mean you see it quite often.....

I've watched a marked police car rip up a standstill burnout at a set of lights before. i later caught up with him and took down his vehicle number, then pulled over and phoned the police call centre. I'm such a nice fella, eh?

When my wagon requires replacement (next week at this rate) I'm going to get an MY94-96 WRX and lift that. Should be prime sticker material then!

Cops must hone in on certain cars more than others, I must say I've had a lot less police attention than I deserve.
