Intercooler to Throttle body pipes?

Post by Gannon » Mon Jan 07, 2008 12:13 pm

I need to go from my intercooler 70mm (2 3/4") to the throttle body 60mm (2 3/8")

What have you used on the throttle body that fits 60mm?

Im tempted to use a 2 1/2" to 2 3/4" silicone reducer bend, but im wondering will it clamp down from 63mm to 60mm?

I assume it would.

Open to suggestions

Those big banjo clips (several different names for them) should do the job.
Toyota 105 Series LandCruiser (that nobody on here wants to really hear about).
RX Touring Wagon - fitted out for 4WDing (currently collecting dust).
RX Project - will be road only at this stage (and currently taking way to long to finish).

I use a 2 1/2" 90 degree silicone bend to a piece of 2 1/2 exhaust pipe with a hose tail welded into it for the cold idle then a 2 1/2" to a 2 3/4" reducer onto the wrx intercooler held together with "T" clamps.

Ive ordered a silicone reducer 2 3/4" to 2 1/2"

This will sit on top the TB and i will have a piece of 2 3\4" SS pipe to go between bend and intercooler

Thanks guys

I've been right on this topic meself and oddly a largeish 2.5 inch silly bend with each end of the straights cut off is a snug fit on the 60mm EA82T trottle.

OPTION#2 is having me mixer suspended on these silly bends i got ebay

tell me you got yours on ebay !! cheap

Also in the middle of grafting a gas adaptor onto the throttle body so the mixer OPTION #3 can sit just atop the throttle - looking at brazing them ????
