Will 16x7 superlites fit under a Vortex/Leonie

Post by vortexxt » Sun Feb 03, 2008 7:33 pm

Howdy all,

I own a Vortex and interested to hear if anyone has tried fitting 16x7 Superlites?

I know the 15x6's fit aok with 205 tyres, but would much prefer a 16" rim running 205x45x16's

Cheers with beers

yes - BARELY. rear arches need to be lipped. had a set of simmons P86 (mesh rim with solid centre.) under my old one.

ride will be rough though. it will handle a LOT better than it did on the stock 13's and you will notice a difference from 15's. would help if you did the suspension at the same time.

Cheers Chris,

Will ring Performance and see if they can do the 10 spoke Superlites in a 16x7 as their web site shows only the 8 spokes in 16x7 and the 8's can't be had in 140x4 pcd!

It won't be my daily driver so will deal with a crappy ride :-)

On an L series the 7in wide rims stick out a fair bit, i think you wil be fine on the rear but may have to pump the fronts out to cover the wheel.

front is fine. rear will foul on the guards hence why I said to roll the rear guards.

Will depend on the offset of the wheels.
