The belt let go in spectacular fashion yesterday afternoon leaving me powersteeringless(yikes that steering is heavy) and A/C less (is it getting hot in here?) and of course alternator less!
Sooo, after visiting every parts shop in town I secured a new belt.... Just pulled the myriad of covers off the engine and have discovered that the H6 doesn't actually have a manual tensioner - there's a freakin auto jobby in there... Just my luck
Anyone know the procedure for resetting the tension on it?

self tensioning just "throw" the belt on pull the tensioner and the spring will do the rest
