probably the new one APS is releasing in a few weeks. along with there twinscroll headers it should go alright, not really to sure about all the different turbos out there so i went with my mechanics recommendation.

I'd love to get down & try crack a 12 with my new mods (under manifold intake, decent airfilter & Blitz EBC 2 boost controller )but I'm buggered if I can find the intermittent miss....perfect one day, farting & cutting out the next, throwing a CEL light but not recording anything on black or green plugs, I've cleaned the AFM & swapped fuel pump so far but still doing it, I've got a dodgy Knock sensor plug but I don't know if that would cause it to do what it's doing????????????

maybe- very maybe i will have my mods done in the next few weeks, then its prolly time to go down there and break another gearbox :P

knock sensor failure used to make my B4 miss at revs, also the other one that gave an intermittent miss without codes was the camshaft position sensor (on the back of the plastic cam cover on the passenger side). Try just taking the plug off and spraying with contact cleaner (or wd40) and seeing if you get any improvement.

Thanks mate, I took the knock sensor off last night & added a bypass wire over the plug with some clips from Dick Smith, ok getting it out but a complete bxstard getting it back in, I started the car & it ran like a pig with constant CEL so I don't think I got the bolt in quite right, AGGGHHHH, so I'll rip it out again tonight & give the cam angle sensor a spray, bout the only one I haven't done, funny thing is that it can happen at any time, going slow or fast, it's like hitting boost cut, then the light might come on for a few min or not at all, buggered if I know.

this may be a bit rude,,,, what would you guys thought be about postponing this for a week or two .
The reason being , I took my car into an exhaust place today to have the new stainless 3'' system fitted and he told me it looked to hard and didn't want to do it , rang another place , he went hmmm ok bring it down ,left it with him and then about an hour or so later he rang me and said come and get you car this is too hard I cant do it
So if you guys could put it off for a while it would be great , if not no probs .

Mike.
