Brumby Weight?
Brumby Weight?
I see conflicting specs on the weight of Subaru Brumby's. I have checked the compliance plate on mine and it rekons 1620 kg, yet when I look at specs on the internet for instance carsales they reckon 970kg?? What is the true weight of brumby's ? Surely they are lighter then the 1800 wagons ?

I heard that a brumby and a wagon weigh almost the same due to some strengthening that has been done to a brumby so it can carry more weight in the tray. Not sure if it is true or not. But i guess in order to be able to actively carry some heavy stuff in a brumby some pannels would have had to be double layed and braced with beams.

ive had mine on a waybridge and it was 1000 with me in it, and im about 70 so, 930, though not an exact reading due it been rounded off from about 25 either way.... though when i loaded it up with what i was carting it came to 1700 (gave it a nice lowered look with lots a negetive camber and light steering
). a bit over the legal load limit of 440
