gen 3 liberty/outback engine warning light

Post by penno » Tue Apr 08, 2008 6:21 am

Seems to come on randomly, sometimes for a few minutes, sometimes for a few seconds, then not at all for a few days etc.
I don't have an owners manual so I have no idea what this means, but I've checked all the fluid levels etc and everything seems to be ok, can anyone offer any helpful advice on this one.

Thanks.

Take it to a dealer to check the codes.

My guess is Knock Sensor.

I'll second the Knock sensor. The codes will reveal all,a dealer or subaru specalist is the place to go.

Check the engine error codes yourself saves money.

Pretty sure gen 3 requires a scan tool ,unlike the earlier models.
