I recently made a request for a copy of my grandfathers WWII service records in preparation for the printing of 60 rolls of film (processed but never developed) recently unearthed. Seen one roll so far !! Figured servce records may tell more than he ever did and then the photos will reveal more with luck.
I paid the fee and waited the six weeks and finally they arrived. A rushed look through... below average intelligence, IQ 83 mental age 12 10/12 at age 24, discharged, civil convictions of larceny, factory breaking, unlawful possession, trespass on railway.
Mate !! Should we add taking photos during war service ?!
Woha, hang on a tick, this doesn't sound like my bloodline.... age 24 ??
Does not compute ?? Name check... phew.. administrative error in the number transcription ... I do not know this guy ,but I guess he is someones dad, grandfather etc
No wonder records aren't released for thirty years !!
