in regards to lifting?

hopefully i will be lifting me l series 3" up in the very near future.

just wondering if any wires/brakelines/anything else needs to be relocated or more lenght added?

anything going to foul on anything? any little tips would be greatly appreciated as this will be my first lift.

i had no problems when doing it to mine.
its just little things like the gear leaver needs to be lengthened about 14mm, obviously the stearing extention and alson the slight changes to the radiator hoses.

Is your wagon carby or efi?
Some find that the Speedo wont reach and also some of the earth’s might need to be re located, as dutchy already stated that the radiator hoses will need to be cut down and who can forget the stupid charcoal canister.

can that "stupid charcoal canister" be binned? my car is carb (86 L). as for lengthing the gear stick can i just fit a aftermarket knob.......or were you just taking the piss? 14mm isn't that much, i could just strech my left arm 14mm:p

its the linkages some times for the 3" kits that might need to be stuffed around with not the gearknob

I've never heard of anybody needing to lengthen the shifter linkage. Sometimes they won't select gears properly if the nylon bushes are worn. I suppose this could be fixed by lengthening the linkage but it's not needed - just put new bushes in and it will be fine, will also feel way nicer and tighter to change gears.
Unfortunately there is no adjustment on the shifter linkage (only on the 4x4 selector rod).

You will most likely need to take the car to an exhaust shop to have the exhaust cut and a few angles changed. It will hang about 3" out of the bottom of your car when you're done otherwise.

Brake lines should be fine.

There's a chance you may have to put a longer rubber fuel hose, the one that comes out of the fuel tank. I recall mine was stretched a bit too tight for my liking on my old Carby wagon when I first put the 3" kit in.

You might need to relocate the wiring harness that runs across the bottom of your radiator support. Quite often this can get in the way of the EA82 engine fan once the fan drops down with the engine. We've seen a few of these harnesses get chopped to bits because of this.

If you have a standard L series bash plate this will need some bending and convincing otherwise to make it fit back on. I think slotting the holes will help.

BrennyV has it, i had a lot of fiddling around trying to get the right measurement so i could get 1st, 3rd & 5th

Yep thats what you gotta do if the linkage bushes are worn out. Too much play so you don't get enough throw to select those gears.
Odin Auto were doing a kit with all the required ones in a little bag for about $16 a while back. Probably more from Subaru. Few minutes to bung them in.

your intake pipe into the airbox wont fit anymore either.

long gone, it only sucked air from within the engine bay anyways.
