CityView4x4 Park - Beaudesert

Post by stinky » Wed Jan 18, 2006 12:06 pm

There's a new just opened 4x4 park at Beaudesert called CityView4x4. Is about 10 mins from the Beadesert Maccas.

I went up there with a couple of mates to check it out and we had a great time. There was a good range of tracks, with many of them being subaru friendly ( bashplate required though! ).

The owner was a top guy and actually spent half the day showing us around. Prices are different to the usual, $10 for the car + $10 for each adult ( i think it caps @ $40? ).

Here's some video of the Subaru there. Watch for the sign for the extreme hillclimb around the 1 minute mark. Oh there's some swearing in the soundtrack.

Can't beat Adam Sandler as a background vocal hey?  One of our favorite songs. Suits most of my cars to a T.

It sure is ... in fact both my cars come from Shane's stable. I bought the brumby that's got the ea81t ( that was in the sedan ) off him as well a couple years ago. :)

The sedans got a sweet dual carb ( originally from the beige hornet ) at the moment, but will be getting an EJ18 when I finish getting all the bits for it :)

I'm terrible at picking music to go on video tracks ( something to do with being tone deaf? ) so I figured i was better off going for a comedy track. :)

The Hillclimb in the middle of the video was good fun, was long and steep enough that with a subaru gearing would be almost impossible to recover from if stalled or down to low revs so I was 1st-low foot to the floor the whole way. It's gonna get real tough after a few more rigs and some rain chews it up. I doubt it'll stay subaru friendly ( i doubt an unlocked ea81/82 would make it anyway ) for long.

The owner of the place owns a jimny which suffers from the same bad gearing as the subaru does, however it's got EFI and a tough clutch so he just spent the whole time pushing the rev limiter....
