Need Help! Fuel did't come onto carb (EA82)

Hi, there.. I'm a newbie for subarus..
My EA82 won't start. After I check, the fuel dosen't come in to the carb.
I tried to start by pour some fuel into carb manifold, its starts but then stop when the fuel dried.

Would somebody help me on this?:(:(:(
Is it coz the fuel pump? but I can't find where(if there is).
Also I cannot found the fuel filter.

Gday, most L series fuel pumps and filters are at or near the the fuel tanks, usually drivers' side under the car, just in front of the rear wheel. Not sure if your car is same model as mine but try there first. Also if you follow the path of the fuel lines, you should find the answer to your problem.

Today I tried to make it my self.
I found the fuel pump

and replaced with the new one,

but.. till in the end of the day still the fuel dosen't come in.
I manage to do it by my self coz it would be a great lesson for my self in this subaru world..

Is there anybody could help me?

Ahhh you are doing a great job and learning a heap on the way.

I had a standard JECS EFI pump in mine but went a bosch 55-60psi as the JECS shat the biscuit(and I wasnt prepared to fork out the $1000 plus for a new JECS).

MPFI L-series fuel filter is in the engine compartment, passengers side, firewall. Word of warning though - depressurise the fuel rail SLOWLY(!!!) or get fuel in your eyes(and PULP really really hurts!!)

First things first, when you turn the key can you hear the fuel pump prime up? If not then your problem is electrical and its time to check fuses and relays etc.

Good info CPOCSM, but I think he's got a carbie job. That pump wouldn't service an EFI system if its life depended on it.

I'm going with the electrical issue - as said, you should hear the fuel pump prime the line then switch off (3 or so seconds). If not try running it from a battery directly and see how the car goes (more to the point, if it goes). Also check your fuses, the problem may be there.

Try all that and get back to us with what happened/worked/didn't work etc.

Could very well be a case of a faulty pump which has blown the fuse.

hey. try scheaking ur lines if u can hear ur fuel pump workin coz id say it is a blockage some were in the lines. if the fuel pumps not working then have a look at the fuse and if it keeps on happening ur fuel pump might de a dud. hope it helps and u get ur subie up and running soon. we cant have 2 many subies of the road lol.

Thanks all!.
After a detail search, finally I found what cause the problem.
yesterday, I check the electrical (at the socket) with just using the test lamp, it lights-up but also the new pump din't prime at all.
Then today, I use the multimeter to verify the voltage, then just I found why.
The meter reading show just only about 5v! And what cause it, is because the cable breaks by a screw! After I fix the cable and assemble everythings, it run just like before.. ahh what a releif..

Thanks to all of friends here with u'r generousity to help me.
Now i'm back on the road with my subie and with one new knowledge of this our flat world!
