I've been looking at this track just south of Pemberton... Not sure of the name of the area but it's in one of those "Weekend trips out of Perth" books. It seems like a good challenge over 4WD tracks and Sand dunes and then down onto the Beach. I think is was the lastest book and Trip #7?? but that's going off memory... so don't quote me on that.

The book is a home, so I can call the missus and get some more info if anyone is interested ?
yep ok pemberton sounds good to me. get some more details. 5 weeks on from now would be great for me coz uni is finished but before should be ok.

NP... I'll get and post those details up ;)

As for 5 weeks from now... That wont work for me as I'll be back at work :( but I can make it the last weekend in May... Friday 30th till Sunday the 1st of June

How does this sound?

I have not yet received the info from my missus, it should arrive today but in the meantime I have been looking about this camping or overnight stay stuff. I’m throwing up ideas here and would like some feedback on this…

Option 1…
Drive straight down to Warren Beach and setup camp. Not ever being down that way, I’m not sure how long it would take, and getting closer to winter, the sun sets a bit earlier. But this will be great if we are fishing during the night.

OR

Option 2…
Leave Perth just after lunch on Friday and drive down south to Pemberton. Some people can come down Saturday if that suits them better. We arrive in Pemberton around 4 or 5 in the Arvo (not a mad rush) and stay overnight in Pemberton Town, I have listed some places to stay, and then leave for Warren Beach on Saturday morning?

Plain and Boring… Best Western Hotel - Pemberton
http://pembertonhotel.bestwestern.com.au/

The Very Nice and Award Winning… Big Brook Cottages - Pemberton
http://www.bigbrookcottages.com.au/

Or my favorite spot… Karri Valley Resort – Pemberton
http://www.karrivalleyresort.com.au/

I like Karri Valley because you can get the Chalets that have 1, 2 or 3 bedrooms and if you share a Chalet with someone or 2, then that will bring the costs down…

I have the details now... But I dont want to put them up on a public photo hosting website... not sure about copyright sh*t :???: I have tried to resize them for posting on this thread but the words get too squashed and are really hard to read

But for those that would like a copy, please email on [email protected] and I'll forward you the scanned copies... especially yours please Dave :)

Does this mean that you might be in for a camping weekend Mike?

I'd be in for camping also... I was just giving others some ideas if they wished to come but didn't want to rough it. ;)

Sounds like good and bad news on the work front there Dave  I hope you can make the trip...

I'd like to help out with the planning but being away also myself, it's hard to do... maybe we can persuade Mike into it... :-D

Dave... Where are you going for work?
