Hey mate
If you have a 85 Leone it will have the EA82 engine not EA89. It does not have a harmonic balancer it has a simple crank pulley, the way to undo it is on top of the bell housing is a black rubber cover pull it out and you will see the fly wheel. Turn the fly wheel till you see one of the many holes in it jam something in that hole eg screwdriver then turn the bolt on the front of the crank pulley the usual direction with someone holding the pin in the fly wheel. Its a bit hard the first time but once you have done it a couple of times it becomes real easy. It took me over a hour the first time to figure it out and a lot of skinned knuckles (bloody radiator).
Cheers Kris

I've done it that way at the wreckers, but the easy way is to put on a socket and long breaker bar, allow the bar to strike the ground or chassis rail as you hit the starter, disable the ignition so the motor doesn't start, works every time and no skin off. ;)
Regards

Gary ;)

Or select 4th/5th, put the handbrake on and use a long breaker bar. Take the "slack" out of the system then go for it. Works everytime for me ;)

three lines on the flywheel or drive plate on auto NOT the timing marks. You will need to find the electronic manual in here if you not have one. too hard for me to relay at the moment

Scroll down in here to BYB's post - this is the electronic manual, the best info you'll find on the EA82 in one place.
