Post by gupatrol » Thu Jul 03, 2008 5:12 pm

G'day all,

Whats the go with this height control thing?? How does it work??

Was driving home from work this arvo and it started flashing at me with arrows pointing up???

Also, how hard are the autos meant to shift?? Mine feels laggy almost like its slipping:???:

Any help would be great.

Cheers,

Tommo.

I think that may mean, you don't have airbags...?
As in, the airbags/compressors etc have all been taken out, but the electrics to sensor haven't been touched. Common problem for the sensors to flash when the gear has been taken out.

Not sure what you mean about the auto, mine feels fine, as in it smoothly goes through the gears and if you plant the boot, the power light ignites on the dash and it drops back one or two gears... I'm new to auto :)

Ahh ok.

I think the airbags are still in. When I park her I can hear the air coming out of the bags at the front.

Was just wondering how it all works.

As for the box, checked the fluid and she's still nice colour. Maybe I'm just used to a hard shifting commodore ect... Not sure

The light on my GLTA used to stay on until I pulled and disconnected most of its wires and power supply. Have removed compressor and associated stuff too from under LHS front guard

With the auto, get the filter checked - the oil may be a good colour but the filter may be restricting flow.

That said, I don't know if subaru autos have a filter built in but it is a common "feature" of an auto gearbox from what I believe. Can anyone elaborate?
