the new craigs hut and high country
Took my brumby on its first proper trip over the week end since finishing it late last year. Have dont a few small runs but this was the first major trip. Went up the king valley and up to craigs hut which has only just been rebuilt after being burnt down in Dec 2006.There were some quite difficult sections to the tracks but the worst by far was the staircase near lake cobbler. When I first saw the staircase I didnt think the subby could possible get up it but with some direction from the better half and a bit of track building the little beast made it up. Anyway here are some picks from the weekend

Hey coops,
I didn't think you were a vic boy... my bad. Love the brumby... What have you done to it?
And i want to know more about the lift size/tyre combo/trimming needed for this?
We just got a little white targa brumby for my gf's mum thats getting rust removed at the moment... I'm keen to get one in my name I dare say that this one will end up lifted and 5 speed'd in the next year or so...
Nice pics, i'll have to get my sh!t sorted and come with you some time (i still need a lift and bigger tyres on the L, just got a new rad for it).
Any more pics you have of your brumby would be super, its a good looking unit you've got there...
Cheers
Bennie

Yes we went by ourselves, I have a tirfor winch to get us out of trouble. You would need a lifted liberty to go the way we when but I think if you go through Mansfield and turn off half way up mount buller on to I think its called to circuit road you would make it easy. As long as the weather has been dry.
