Help! L series dash wiring

hey guys im after some help or ideas coz im all out.

heres the story- i cleared out- read cut- some of my own wiring for gauges and turbo timer etc getting ready for my ej swap.
Now i have the new motor in and running but for some reason i have no dash lights at all- not in the engine lights or cluster and also i have no indicators or lights. but the hazard button works as it should as does the park lights switch on top of the steering column.
now obviously ive unplugged some of the connecters going to the old ea motor and to spray the engine bay but im pretty damn sure that the necessary ones are all connected again. and dave, matatak and i have checked the fuseable links and other wiring around that area and cant think of anything else to check.
i really need to be able to drive the car now but cant hook up the last ej wiries to the dash.

so if theres any opinions out there ill have a listen to it thx.

Sounds like an ignition feed problem... check the fuses at the fuse pannel for the indicators and dash cluster. I would think you wont find power there either. My guess is the ignition relay (much like the EJ wiring) was triggered off the old ECU. You need to find this relay and probably re-wire it.

yeh no power at the fusebox either. thanks for the suggestion ill have a poke around

Are all your earths bolted down properly? A respray may not allow a good grounding once re-bolted, maybe re-check these...

Good luck finding the problem, its interesting that the parker switch and hazard lights still work yet the other instrument lights and indicators don't. As the parkers and hazard's are a safety measure they're probabily running on a secondary system.

As you probabily already know, it only needs one major earth or power wire to be cut for those parts not to work. I don't know where you got the power for the EJ setup but I'd probabily be checking that out and seeing what has been done and what was overlooked in that area.

Good luck with it - chasing an electrical fault is nothing but annoying!
