Might try at home when I get a chance.
No worries mate.. I can also email them to you but it's not much at the moment

Has anyone who has been reading this post got a contact number for Subywan?
I have been trying unsuccessfully to contact him about a part and not getting much in the way of response in emails and the like.

One of his family is in Hospital. As per this thread http://www.ausubaru.com.au/showthread.php?t=15902

The last time I heard from him was the 20th January.

I too am waiting for tracking details on a lift kit he apparently sent prior to Christmas. It has not turned up and AustPost can't help me until I know some sender details. I guess my chances of getting it is slim after being lost for 7 weeks.

Hope you have better luck.

For the jerry cans, go to Aussie disposals, a few years back I got two used ones for $40, and two new ones for $50 each. They do however have something written in what I think is German on the side of them... And they're grey instead of Green (the used two).

I prefer the plastic ones anyway the metal ones always rust and tend to crack from all the expansion and contraction, And although you can get seal kits for them they tend to leak aswell.

92 targa brumby (weekend runabout),
97 Lifted Outback (Dailey drive),
05 outback safety (Too cheap to pass up),
90 model liberty (was to be scrapped instead sold to workmate)
+ others.

I ran two of those red plastic ones on the roof racks going through outback Queensland and South Oz in March. They ballooned out quite substantially but never leaked. The key is to try and leave no air pocket when you fill them and then dump the fuel in the tank as soon as you have room. Still have them 2 years later and they are going back out to the outback with me again in April. I just bought another one at Autobarn on special for $20. They usually sell for around $30-35 mark I think. Absolutely nothing wrong with them.

AndrewT, you could always get yourself a plastic one spray paint it green

No leaking, cheaper, and its not orange!

Hey Andrew.. Julian is correct :( This bloody foot makes it hard to move up and down on/off the ground to get the main beam welded up. I would recommend to everyone that is not 16 anymore to NOT jump off any fences.

In the meantime we (my daughter and I) have been putting the RX together. Looking good and should be on the road soon.

Pretty much, I seem to remember Army Rovers having one of each on the back, and the carriers are the same size.

Chrisk.. I finally got around today to spend some spare time on the carrier :) I wish I had some more time but it must be the month for gearboxes. Had 1 today and 2 tomorrorw and Matt's on Thursday. Anyway, here's the lastest pic..

BTW.. How did you go with the lift kit?
