With all the headaches my FB friend in Saust has at the moment with his EJ converted Oz trike I'm glad I went ea81.
Horses for courses.
Had similar beliefs in the Zephyr club years ago. That car came out with a 2500cc six engine )English. Most believed the way to go was 302 Windsor shoehorned into the bay. All sorts of issues, exhaust clearances, heavy weight on a frotn end and to do it correctly cost a fortune. And now there are heaps of butchered cars out there that have lost their originality forever. I kept the 6, had dual fuel and ran it daily Yea to Melbourne with smell of an oily rag running costs.
There is a place for the "orphaned" ea81. A lost child it may well be. Besides when I stare into the eyes of my ea81...I actually see its soul....even an engine!!! lol
Seriously though an EJ18 probably was a very good option for Tweety if I had the patience and less need for simplicity and old school engine desires.
