Given my lack of input recently felt that it was about time we got stuck into this topic as well.
The only reason I am not in for the trip on the 14th Feb is due to the location and nothing else. We have done this trip at least 6 times in all different seasons and are not interested in doing it again at this stage as it dose not change that much.
We feel that we missed a few opportunities to get out and about in 2006, through no fault other then our own, and therefore we are keen to get active again in 2007 - more like we were in 2005 for those of us who were around back then

The only minor issue with this is that as the group continues to expand, and I am not saying that this is a bad thing, it makes it more difficult to plan trips and I believe that more recon is required.
At this stage I am not aware of to many of us doing recon for trip prior to doing them with larger group numbers, and I can not think of anything worse then going down a track and then finding out that we have to turn x amount of cars around – its bad/hard enough when there are only 2 or 3. This was not an issue in 2005 as we were able to alternate between group members to do the recon as people were not out 4WDing as often as we were back then, now people are keen to go which is a huge positive but also has a few negatives.
In addition to this we also had a few trips up our sleave so to speak that few other members had done and now we only have 2 or 3 at the most.
Anyway our hope is to have more of a touring or at least camping trips. I was hoping that our more recent Harvey recon would have been more rewarding however it did not seem to be as pleasant on our last visit – is this accurate Subarino?
With all the recent logging is it worth making this a larger group trip/camping Subarino and AndrewT (as you stayed a little longer then us)?
This has not been discussed with other members so I am not wanting to seem like the hero or outcast others so do not take this the wrong way its just how we feel about the current state of Subaruing – actually we have missed 4WD with some of you.
SO what does all this mean… WATCH THIS SPACE (and Tim fix ya wagaon). Hopefully there will be 4WDing/explaoring/camping on all over the place.
It is also worth noting that sometimes these trips will be a little more family friendly (read less 4WDing) as sometimes we will stop to look at something. We also seem to have the only child present most on most of trips and therefore we need to also do things to keep her occupied well. In addition to this I should also let you know I will also have uni papers to write this year so some evenings I may be required to be anti social and sit at my laptop until the batteries run flat writing stuff. The positive about this is I have met most of you and will have some great observations to write up

We will let you know… for those interested the 1st trip/camp could be closer then you think.
