LOL yeah... they wont last long without a lift... maybe make it around the block... make some nasty mess of your fenders though.

just got my 27's fitted without a lift kit the only difference with height is the bolts under the spring on the front strut and the torshbars at the back have been wound up
the tyres only have slight amout of rubbing on the back side of the front fenders

That surprises the hell out of me as I had the 27's on the front of my MY wagon rub and I had a four inch lift kit and a further inch or so with bigger springs , I also had the front guard cut and cut grinded the rear of the fron wheel well  .

Would depend on the offset of the rims... for example... pug rims can fit HUGE tires on without scrubing and with no lift... the same size tires on rats will scrub badly.

I am surprised too that he has got away with such a big tyre without lift.

I assume that close up pic was of the strut top from under the guard... i have never seen anything like that.

Usually that size tire would result in massive tire rub on the firewall behind each wheel when turning.... i had to bach the hell out of mine even with the 3 inch lift.... I wonder what that strut top does to change that.

Yeah they are standard , the pic that confused dave of your strut was because the pic is upside down and very dark , making it look weird.
