Put some stickers on today, got the bonnet pins, harnessess, roof fin, Digi-dash, UHF, intercom, safety triangle & first aid kit installed. Took a few photos tonight but they're a bit dark.

This is the passenger side dash.

Shot from the front showing bonnet pins, too dark to see the camera on the rollcage, still need front no.

Shot from the side showing some sponsers signage. The colours really stand out against the gold paint.

Thanks to Grant from Stickertech for the excellant job he did with the stickers. Above and beyond expectations. He sent me heaps of extra stuff I never even asked for.

Thanks also to Barkyard Boy Dave for the loan of his Digi-dash when I couldn't get one in time.

It's starting to look a bit like a racecar now and only 6 days left to get it finished.

Already thinking I might paint my street Brumby gold to match so I can rock up at a race meeting and park them side by side. No stickers or cage but more or less identical.

Have you had it up to speed yet? Just wondering if it tracks better being longer over rough stuff or do you not notice it?

Not so you'd notice. It's a little twitchy on the wide tyres. Might have to change to a mud terrain. With the heavier engine the front Kings are a bit more supple than on my street ute.
The water line from Sunspares was wrong. It nearly fitted but it must be off a different model. I used a flexable line instead and it seems to do the job. I'll post it back to them tomorrow for a refund.

Its on next weekend. The brumby is category 8. Love the rules of that one. Must resemble a production car.

Best of luck in the race, I hope the car has exceeded your expectations as you've treated it to the best there is from what i can see, i hope it shows some respect to that.

Yeah, as stated, video would be awesome.

Good luck!

Well unfortunately my 2007 Finke desert race is over.
I had a good run down to Alice, arrived just after midday Wed, checked in to our accom, unhooked the trailer, found the registration office, signed in, got my event paperwork done and stated to get the ute ready for early scruiteneering that night. And that was all I got to do.
One of my staff at home was involved in a tragic fatal accident so I have had to come home. I got home midday Thursday so covered 2600km in 36 hours. I was only in Alice for 7 hours instead of 7 days.
I have spoken to Wilbur who arrived yesterday arvo so he knows allready. The rest of my crew are staying to watch the race and make the most of my pre-paid accom and leave from work which cant be changed.
I want to thank everyone for their support and interest in getting the car ready for Finke.

I don't know what else I can say, obviously I'm a little dissapointed...
