hit a big brickwall with the wiring. Will take afew extra days and $$$ than i expected. I knew it was all going to well! At least the engine bay came out hella sexy!

timing belts and rocker covers have all been done also.

more pics.

painted engine bay

got the new clutch back today. Got it beafed to 2800lb. VERY impressed with the clutch dudes work. Also got the actual clutch disc beafed to wrx spec, and all surfaces machined etc. Note the two diaphragms. It was he only way the clutch guy could get soo much pressure into the l-series pressure plate.

Also strengthened the clutch fork today and installed new thrust bearing.

chopped out the xmember to suit the turbo piping.

Put the WRX engine harness onto the motor(tedious long winded bitch of a job) looks like everything will connect sweet.

And attached the adapter plate onto the motor.

The motor will go in tomorrow, just gotta do the main wiring harness and splice in the RS knock and cam sensors into the wrx loom.

Pray to dear god we dont come across any other problems!

So you swappped the harness but you still need to change the plugs on the knock sensor and TPS?

Dave

yes. The rs loom has the sensors on long leads, where as the wrx has a plug which goes directly onto the sensor. Some simple cutting and joining should solve it.

nad dave the knock sensor and tps are now solved.....we just need to modify the leads for the cam sensor and crank sensor and thast all....we could go and buy the 2 sensors with the correct plugs on them but for $160 i think making these 2 fit will be easier
